| THE SHOES OF VASILIS STAMATAKIS |
This site is dedicated to the fabulously talented cordwainer - Vasilis Stamatakis - who worked in Heraklion, Crete (Greece) between 1941 and 1969 and designed thirty six collections of shoes - in secret - during these years. He worked throughout the era of 'Rembetika' and many of his designs are referential to the aura of 'Rembetika'.
